Daily FC operates on an AI-assisted editorial workflow powered by the Lanka Data Net (LDN) through secure Lanka Data APIs. The platform continuously ingests structured information from a broad network of official government and regulatory sources, ensuring that all published content originates from authoritative public records rather than secondary media reports.

Through the Lanka Data Platform, Daily FC receives structured data directly from institutions including the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL), Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), Inland Revenue Department (IRD), Sri Lanka Customs, Department of Census and Statistics, Department of Government Printing (Gazettes), Registrar of Companies, Parliament of Sri Lanka (Bills, Acts, Amendment Acts, Hansard, Committee Reports and Parliamentary Papers), the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka, the Court of Appeal, and other government ministries, departments, regulators, and statutory authorities. This provides access to authoritative financial, economic, legal, regulatory, taxation, trade, corporate, and public policy information directly from its original source.

Using the Lanka Data API, Daily FC automatically receives newly published datasets, reports, press releases, statistical releases, court judgments, legislation, parliamentary documents, gazettes, corporate filings, and regulatory notices as soon as they become available. The data is standardised, indexed, categorised, and enriched with metadata before being processed through Lanka Data’s Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture and AI language models. Rather than relying solely on a language model, the AI retrieves information directly from the underlying authoritative datasets, enabling every article to be generated from verified source material with complete traceability to the original publication.

The AI analyses newly published information, identifies material developments, extracts key facts, compares them with historical records where appropriate, and prepares structured news drafts containing headlines, summaries, key statistics, background information, and contextual analysis. This enables Daily FC to rapidly transform complex government publications, legislation, court judgments, economic releases, and regulatory announcements into timely and accessible news stories while preserving factual accuracy and consistency with the original source documents.

Every AI-generated article is subsequently reviewed through Daily FC’s editorial process to ensure accuracy, context, readability, editorial quality, and compliance with professional journalistic standards. Editors may incorporate additional reporting, expert commentary, or market analysis before publication. This human-in-the-loop approach combines the speed and efficiency of Artificial Intelligence with professional editorial oversight.

By integrating the Lanka Data Platform’s comprehensive government data infrastructure with advanced Artificial Intelligence and experienced editorial review, Daily FC delivers timely, source-backed financial, economic, legal, regulatory, and business news directly from Sri Lanka’s official information ecosystem, providing readers with reliable, transparent, and up-to-date information derived from original government sources.
