The interim condensed consolidated financial statements, released to the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), reveal significant year-on-year growth across key performance indicators, underscoring the company’s strong operational momentum.
For the quarter ended 30th June 2026 (Q2 2026), the SLT Group recorded a consolidated revenue of LKR 30,517 million, marking an 11.7% increase compared to LKR 27,316 million in the corresponding period of 2025. This positive trend extended to the first half of 2026 (H1 2026), with total revenue climbing to LKR 61,314 million, an 11.1% increase from LKR 55,167 million reported in H1 2025.
Strong Profitability Across the Board
The Group’s profitability metrics showed substantial improvement. Gross Profit for Q2 2026 rose by 15.4% to LKR 15,062 million, while for H1 2026, it reached LKR 29,689 million, up 14.7% year-on-year. This solid top-line performance translated into a remarkable surge in operating profit, which increased by 30.3% to LKR 5,033 million in Q2 2026 and a staggering 34.6% to LKR 10,165 million for H1 2026.
Profit Before Tax (PBT) for the Group demonstrated exceptional growth, soaring by 47.8% to LKR 4,371 million in Q2 2026 and by an impressive 51.4% to LKR 8,555 million for H1 2026. The ultimate bottom line, Profit After Tax (PAT), saw an even more significant jump. For Q2 2026, PAT grew by 55.3% to LKR 3,533 million, and for H1 2026, it increased by 54.4% to LKR 6,601 million compared to the previous year.
Basic Earnings Per Share (EPS) for H1 2026 stood at LKR 3.66, a substantial increase from LKR 2.37 recorded in H1 2025, reflecting the enhanced value generation for shareholders.
Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Stability
SLT’s balance sheet reflects continued strength. Total assets as of 30th June 2026 amounted to LKR 240,191 million, a slight increase from LKR 234,350 million at the end of December 2025. Total equity attributable to equity shareholders of the company also grew to LKR 106,140 million from LKR 100,800 million over the same period.
The Group’s cash flow from operating activities remained robust, with net cash generated increasing significantly to LKR 21,564 million for H1 2026, up from LKR 16,333 million in H1 2025. The debt-to-equity ratio improved to 0.69 times as of 30th June 2026, compared to 0.76 times at 31st December 2025, indicating a healthier financial structure.

The Fixed ICT Operations reported H1 2026 revenues of LKR 34,898 million (H1 2025: LKR 32,090 million), while Mobile Operations contributed LKR 25,276 million (H1 2025: LKR 22,439 million) to external revenues. The last traded price of SLT ordinary shares on the CSE as of 30th June 2026 was LKR 87.90, reflecting positive market sentiment following the payment of a first and final dividend of LKR 0.75 per share for the year 2025 on 26th June 2026.
However, the company noted that its public holding percentage stands at 4.78% as of 30th June 2026, with 14,874 public shareholders. This indicates non-compliance with option 4 of the Listing Rule 7.13.1 (a), which requires a minimum public holding of 10%.
