Sri Lanka Implements Number Plate-Based Fuel Distribution System

FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – Sri Lanka will begin issuing fuel to vehicles based on odd and even numbers corresponding to the day of the week, Ceypetco head D J Rajakaruna said from Thursday.

“Today is 18, that’s an even day, so if your vehicle number is an even number or 0, then you can get fuel today.”
