FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – Sri Lanka has successfully sold 3,369 million rupees worth of treasury bills offered on tap, with average interest rates of 7.61%, 7.91%, and 8.23%, according to the public debt management office. This sale brings the total amount of treasury bills sold last week to 64,162 million rupees.
The debt office reported the following sales:
- 3-month bills at an interest rate of 7.61%
- 6-month bills at an interest rate of 7.91%
- 12-month bills at an interest rate of 8.23%
The total market subscription for these bills was 3,369 million rupees. On Wednesday, March 18, the debt office raised a total of 60.79 billion rupees from the issuance of 3, 6, and 12-month treasury bills.
