Sri Lankan Rupee Declines as Bond Yields Rise

FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – Sri Lanka’s rupee closed at 314.30/70 to the US dollar in the spot market on Thursday, depreciating from 313.80/314.50 the previous day, dealers reported. Additionally, bond yields closed higher.

A bond maturing on 15.02.2028 closed at 9.45/55 percent, an increase from 9.35/65 percent.

A bond maturing on 15.12.2029 closed at 9.90/10.00 percent, rising from 9.80/95 percent.

A bond maturing on 15.03.2031 closed at 10.05/10 percent, up from 9.87/92 percent.

A bond maturing on 15.10.2032 closed at 9.55/70 percent, compared to the previous close of 9.50/60 percent.

A bond maturing on 01.06.2033 closed at 10.85/95 percent, up from 10.80/90 percent.
