Sriyani Dress Point, a leading fashion retail chain in Sri Lanka, has demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility by donating Rs. 20 million to the Government’s ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund. This contribution aims to support communities severely affected by Cyclone Ditwah, alongside the company’s comprehensive on-the-ground relief operations.
The donation was formally handed over at the Presidential Secretariat to Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, Secretary to the President. The Chairman of Sriyani Dress Point, M. Selvaraj, was present at the ceremony, accompanied by the company’s Managing Directors and senior leadership team.
In addition to this significant financial support, Sriyani Dress Point swiftly mobilized staff from its eight showrooms across the country to provide immediate assistance to those most in need. Utilizing its extensive network and strong community ties, the company distributed essential items such as clothing and dry rations directly to affected families. This rapid, grassroots response ensured aid reached vulnerable groups without delay.
The company further expanded its relief efforts by collaborating with humanitarian initiatives led by Sri Lankan media organizations and other key partners. These strategic partnerships enhanced the reach and effectiveness of their distribution operations, allowing more families to benefit from the assistance provided.
