The Sri Lanka Purchasing Managers’ Index for Construction (PMI – Construction) showed a positive trend, with the Total Activity Index rising to 66.2 in November 2025. Despite facing weather-related disruptions towards the end of the month, most firms reported an improvement in construction activity.

The New Orders Index continued to expand in November, reflecting an increase in both private and government-funded projects, as highlighted by many respondents. The indices for Employment and Quantity of Purchases also saw further increases, indicating sustained optimism regarding the availability of construction projects. However, the Suppliers’ Delivery Time Index remained extended during the month.
