Sri Lanka Boosts Treasury Bill Sales by Rs31.12bn Post-Auction

FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – Sri Lanka’s public debt management office has successfully sold treasury bills amounting to 31,124 million rupees through a tap issue. These were offered at average rates of 7.63 percent, 7.92 percent, and 8.24 percent. This brings the total treasury bills sold this week to 99 billion rupees.

The office sold 3-month treasury bills at an average rate of 7.63 percent, 6-month bills at 7.92 percent, and 12-month bills at 8.24 percent. The total market subscription for these bills amounted to 34,520 million rupees.

Earlier in the week, on Wednesday, the debt office raised 67.87 billion rupees through the sale of 3, 6, and 12-month bills.

The settlement date for these transactions is set for February 27. (Colombo/Feb27/2026)
