The Central Depository Systems (Pvt) Limited (CDS), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), has joined forces with National Development Bank PLC (NDB) to enhance the efficiency of dividend disbursement systems for companies listed on the CSE. This collaboration introduces a streamlined dividend pay-out system designed to bolster capital market infrastructure and simplify the investment process for both issuers and investors.

Under this partnership, formalized through a service agreement, NDB provides listed companies on the CSE with a dedicated system for seamless handling of dividend pay-outs. The service offers a variety of disbursement options, including electronic funds transfers, cheque processing, and other customized methods, which enable shareholders to benefit from faster, direct transfers that minimize delays and errors.

Representing a significant advancement in improving the dividend distribution process, this partnership enhances companies’ investor relations efforts. It is part of a broader CDS initiative to streamline engagement in Sri Lanka’s capital market by offering innovative cash management solutions that cater to the evolving needs of the market.
