CSE Achieves Remarkable 5.25% Growth in January

The Colombo Stock Exchange experienced losses for the second consecutive trading day on January 30, despite maintaining a strong overall performance for the month. The All Share Price Index (ASPI) decreased by 88.58 points, closing at 23,812.31, while the S&P SL20 Index dropped by 14.51 points to 6,641.15.

Despite the day’s decline, the ASPI indicates a 5.25% gain in the stock market throughout January 2026, demonstrating sustained investor interest during the month. The market turnover for the day was recorded at Rs. 9.19 billion.
