FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – Sri Lanka’s Hayleys Fabric Plc experienced a significant decline in profits, dropping 95 percent to 11.1 million rupees in the December 2025 quarter, as revealed in its interim financial report. This decline is attributed to reduced revenue and increased administrative costs.

In comparison, the company reported a profit of 235 million rupees in the same quarter of the previous year. Revenue decreased by 6 percent year-on-year to 8.4 billion rupees, while the cost of sales fell at a slower rate of 4 percent to 7.35 billion rupees.
