Hayleys of Sri Lanka Launches Rs9 Billion Rights Issue Initiative

FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – Hayleys Plc, a prominent company in Sri Lanka, has announced plans to generate 9 billion rupees through a rights issue. This initiative involves the issuance of 3 new ordinary voting shares for every 50 existing ones. According to a filing with the stock exchange, the shares are priced at 200 rupees each.

The company intends to issue a total of 45,000,000 ordinary voting shares. The proceeds from this rights issue are earmarked for new investments and the partial settlement of existing debt.

This proposed rights issue is pending approval from the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) and the company’s shareholders. (Colombo/Jan22/2026)
