The Cabinet of Sri Lanka has sanctioned a proposal to grant a contract valued at 2,197.96 million rupees, excluding taxes, to Millennium I.T.E.S.P. (Private) Limited. This contract pertains to the supply and installation of an Oracle Exadata X11M system for Sri Lanka Customs, as announced by Minister Nalinda Jayatissa.

This decision comes in the wake of an initial approval given on August 21, 2024, which marked the commencement of the procurement process aimed at modernizing the technical infrastructure of Sri Lanka Customs.

The procurement process involved inviting bids under the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedure, resulting in the submission of three bids. The recommendation to award the contract to Millennium I.T.E.S.P. was made by the President and received the endorsement of the Cabinet Procurement Committee.
