Most of the 13 US bases in the Middle East have been destroyed and empty

Iran has carried out attacks on at least six U.S. military sites across the Middle East since the United States and Israel began operations against Iran, according to an analysis by The New York Times based on satellite images, verified videos, and official statements.

The total number of weapons used and how many attacks were intercepted remains unclear. However, the strikes raise serious concerns about the ability of these bases to defend against future attacks.

The targeted locations include sites in Bahrain, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, and three bases in Kuwait. Several structures, including satellite communication systems, were damaged or destroyed.

U.S. officials reported that three service members were killed and five seriously injured in a strike on Camp Arifjan in Kuwait. No visual evidence of this specific attack has been released. No casualties have been reported at the other locations.

The attacks hit a range of facilities, including a major naval headquarters, air bases, military camps, and a naval recreational area, with varying levels of damage.

According to The New York Times, Iran struck the headquarters of the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain, using both missiles and drones. Satellite images later showed that communication equipment and several buildings were destroyed or heavily damaged. The port appeared to have few naval vessels at the time.

In Kuwait, satellite images showed collapsed roofs at multiple locations within Ali Al Salem Air Base following reported strikes.

In Iraq, verified videos showed repeated attacks on a base hosting U.S. forces at Erbil International Airport. Fires and smoke were visible, and satellite imagery confirmed structural damage, with fires continuing into the next day.

In Dubai, satellite imagery showed smoke rising from a structure within a U.S. Navy recreational area at Jebel Ali Port, one of the navy’s busiest logistics hubs.
