President Engages in Strategic Bilateral Dialogue with Indian Prime Minister

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, currently visiting New Delhi for the AI Impact 2026 Summit, met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi today at Hyderabad House.

Prime Minister Modi extended a warm welcome to President Dissanayake and expressed his appreciation for accepting the invitation to participate in the summit. The two leaders engaged in a cordial exchange of views.

During their meeting, the leaders conducted bilateral discussions focusing on strengthening the historic relations between India and Sri Lanka. They explored avenues for enhancing economic, trade, and cultural cooperation between the two nations.

Additionally, President Dissanayake expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for the special assistance extended to Sri Lanka following Cyclone Ditwah.
