Sri Lanka Insurance Life (SLIC Life), the nation’s insurer, has consistently played a pivotal role in enhancing the prospects of future generations. As one of the most profitable state-owned enterprises, SLIC Life is not only a leader in its industry but also a committed corporate citizen, actively contributing to the welfare of the communities it serves.

In 2014, SLIC Life introduced the ‘Sri Lanka Insurance Life Suba Pathum Scholarship’ program, aimed at supporting the children of its life policyholders nationwide. Since its inception, this initiative has awarded over 2,200 scholarships, totaling more than Rs. 240 million in value.

This year, the scholarship scheme will reward 246 students who have excelled in the Grade 5 Scholarship, GCE Ordinary Level, and GCE Advanced Level examinations. Students eligible for the Suba Pathum Scholarship, based on their performance in these examinations, will receive financial support amounting to Rs. 20,000 for five years, Rs. 40,000 for three years, and Rs. 50,000 for two years, respectively.

Expanding its reach, SLIC Life has enhanced the Suba Pathum Scholarship program this year to acknowledge extraordinary academic achievements beyond its policyholders. Students who have secured 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place at the national level in any stream at the 2024 GCE Advanced Level Examination can apply under this special category. These exceptional students will be honored with a one-time scholarship grant of Rs. 150,000, recognizing their outstanding accomplishments.

Interested applicants can submit their applications through the SLIC Life website until the 31st of March 2026. Please note that only online applications will be considered for this scholarship program.
