Sri Lanka Secures Five Shipments of 92-Octane Petrol from Singapore’s Epdesa

Sri Lanka’s Cabinet has given the green light to award a contract for the procurement of five shipments of 92 octane unleaded petrol to Singapore’s Epdesa Pte Ltd, as confirmed by Cabinet spokesman Nalinda Jayatissa. This agreement involves the supply of 300,000 barrels, with a possible variation of 5 percent, over a six-month period, running from March 15 to September 14.

The State-owned Ceylon Petroleum Corporation initiated the bidding process, inviting proposals from registered suppliers for this long-term contract. In response, six bids were received. Following a thorough evaluation, the bid from Epdesa Pte Ltd was recommended by the cabinet-appointed special standing procurement committee as the most responsive option.
