Sri Lanka Successfully Offloads Additional Rs25.5bn in Treasury Bills Following Auction

FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – The public debt management office of Sri Lanka has successfully auctioned treasury bills amounting to 25.522 billion rupees at average yields of 8.15 percent for the three-month bills and 8.52 percent for the twelve-month bills. This recent transaction contributes to a cumulative total of 84 billion rupees in treasury bills sold during the previous week.

Specifically, the three-month treasury bills were issued at an interest rate of 8.15 percent, while the twelve-month bills were sold at 8.52 percent. The overall subscription for this market offering reached 25.522 billion rupees.

On Wednesday, April 15, the debt office had raised a total of 58.52 billion rupees from the sale of three-, six-, and twelve-month bills, having initially offered 90 billion rupees for subscription.
